Hello, thanks for

The Head Professional at Broome Park

Tienie Britz
The Head
Professional at Broome Park for the past 22 years.
I was born in South Africa in May 1945 and started
playing golf at the tender age of 12, influenced by my older brother,
who was a childhood friend of Gary Player. I turned
Professional in 1965 and started playing the South African Tour in 1968,
winning my first tournament in 1969, followed by 11 other tour wins,
including the German Open in 1977. I was fortunate to represent South
Africa in the World Cup in 1972,75 and 1980, my best finish was 3rd in 1972.
I won the South African Order of Merit both in 1971 and 1972.
I was delighted to be offered and pleased to accept the post of Head Professional at Broome
Park in 1986. Since then I have concentrated on my club duties, helping and teaching other golfers to enjoy the game that has
brought me so much pleasure over the years.
