The Broome Park Estate was established during the reign of Charles I. The magnificent mansion, recently refurbished to its former glory, boasts as one if its many owners, Lord Kitchener. The Par 72, SSS 71, 6,580 yard parkland golf course is set within the 268 acre estate on undulating countryside with beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. The course is a good test for all golfers, of all ages and has a particularly interesting 18th hole. There is an open bay golf driving range and a separate practice ground, where your game can be fine-tuned. Other facilities available at Broome Park are Swimming, Squash, Tennis, Snooker, Sauna and a Gymnasium. The Mansion House has two bars and offers a variety of eating facilities. There is a Halfway House, very popular with the golfers, who can enjoy a variety of hot and cold food and drinks, before; during and after their round, if they so wish.
